Hands down the best biscuit in Asheville right now. We finally stopped into Flour at the S&W Market downtown, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Honestly, we just thought it would be a quick breakfast stop — a coffee, a bite, and on with our day. But the energy, the food, and the people here stopped us in our tracks. The vibe is lively, welcoming, and balanced. Staff were prompt, friendly, and clearly care about what they’re doing. Families, friends, and locals were all gathered around — and it wasn’t for anything else in the building. It was for Flour. And the biscuits? Absolutely next-level. We tried the Bacon, Egg & Cheese biscuit — smoky bacon, melty cheese, perfectly cooked egg, all stacked inside a biscuit that was golden and crisp on the outside, buttery and tender inside. The kind of biscuit that makes you close your eyes for a second bite. In the past 6 months, this is the best biscuit I’ve had in Asheville — and judging from the buzz around the shop, a lot of other folks agree. Flour isn’t just making biscuits; they’re raising the standard for what breakfast should be in this city. If you haven’t been yet, get yourself down to Flour. You’ll taste why everyone’s talking about it.

Flour in downtown Asheville makes one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was incredible, crispy golden on the outside and buttery and soft inside. The bacon was thick and smoky, the egg just right, and the cheese melted perfectly. The coffee is great too. I usually get a latte, and it’s always smooth and well made. Sometimes I take my order to go, and it stays hot all the way home, which says a lot. It’s located inside the S&W Market, which is bursting with character and full of great local energy. Yes, there’s usually a line during busy times, but that just shows how good the food is. The staff are friendly, quick, and the food comes out hot and fresh. If you’re in Asheville, do yourself a favor and stop by Flour for a biscuit and a coffee. It’s that good!

Good coffee spot in a food hall inside a beautiful historic building. Line was long as I think only one person was making drinks but the coffee was very good. I would try again at a less busy time but it is work checking out. There are a few tables outside if you have a dog as well.

Solid spot to get an affordable breakfast or lunch. Coffee is good but the biscuit sandwiches are great. Big fan of the bacon egg and cheese. Just make sure to get extra napkins.

If you are looking for a very chill spot and some tasty simple food, Flour is the spot. Free wifi and quiet in the mornings. A great spot to chat with a friend in peace or get some work done. Sit upstairs and get some people watching in on the streets of downtown. This is not a true restaurant, but a mini restaurant with only a few items on the menu and no full kitchen. But the biscuits beg to differ -- they are delicious. Crispy and buttery on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and FLAVORFUL. Latte with house made syrup is totally worth it too. And we had a pistachio chocolate chip cookie that was simply delightful -- crisp and salty edges, melty buttery gooey middle. This is NOT a fun vibe (at least not on a Wednesday morning at 10am). If you're looking for a similar menu but way more vibes, head to Butter Punk.

Probably the best bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit I’ve ever had was at Flour! Highly recommend the Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Latte as well. Friendly service and vintage feel inside the Cafeteria. Will definitely come back the next time we’re in town!

I ordered biscuits for my recent business event and was so impressed with my experience. My guests raved about how tasty the biscuits and jam were and I felt proud to show off another local business. Flour’s kind staff had my order at the counter when I arrived and when I asked to add a few more biscuits, they got right on it. The staff mentioned being in a temporary location while their new restaurant is being renovated. I think that speaks to the resilience of a restaurant to be flexible yet still deliver a delicious product, on time and with a smile on their face. Can’t wait to visit their new location.

This is the best biscuit I've ever had - buttery, salty, crispy on the outside and cushiony on the inside. I went repeatedly to the first location, and happy to go to see them at Easy Tiger until they land on Wall Street. Worth it for that biscuit. 🫡

I wanted a good brunch spot before exploring Asheville. I found Flour and read the reviews. According to the reviews, the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was a must-try because of how delicious and crispy the biscuit was. I wanted to see for myself how delicious this biscuit was, and I agree with the reviews. This biscuit combo was delicious! I loved how the top of the biscuit was crispy while the inside was fluffy and tasty. The biscuit wasn’t dry, and the bacon was delicious with the melted cheese and egg. The potatoes were also delicious and crispy, especially with the aioli. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I received my order quickly, within 5 minutes. I will definitely come back to Flour when I visit Asheville again!
